Snowgoose Cherry

Snowgoose Cherry

Japanese cherry trees are a sentimental favorite, certainly in the Pacific Northwest. The nine on the median are the "Snowgoose" variety. In early April, they produce a beautiful blast of fragrant, creamy white blossoms with pink centers. The trees were planted in the Spring of 2023, at just a few years old. Upright for now, they'll grow gradually wider in the next few years. This species has medium green leaves, turning light brown in the fall.

We chose the Snowgoose for several reasons. Height and width are the most critical qualities for street trees, and our cherries will top out at about 20 tall and wide. They are also relatively disease resistant, and are low maintenance because they do not require much pruning, they don't produce (and drop) fruit.
