Snowberry

Snowberry

Come by in the winter to visit these shrubs and spot the brilliant white berries pop against the dark green leaves. The berry on the Snowberry is technically known as a “drupe,” which is a botany term for a stone-fruit, like cherries or olives. This is a northwest native, if by northwest we mean pretty much all of North America. Snowberries may look tasty, but they are poisonous to humans.
